What problems do you have with conventional ice chest coolers? Im in an engineering design and development class and i am trying to make a better alternative solution to ice chest coolers, that is more convenient and easy to use. I wanted to know what problems there are with conventional coolers to justify reverse engineering a cooler. We are thinking making one that can plug directly into a cigarette lighter. What other problems have you found with regular coolers?

Will notebook coolers help lengthen a laptops life span and what other methods will help?
